This policy explains how Scout.YT (scout.yt) uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to work and are always on:
- scout_session — keeps you logged in to your account. It is set only after you log in and expires after a period of inactivity. Without it, the Service cannot work.
2. Analytics & advertising
We use the following third-party tools to understand how the Service is used and to measure our marketing, so we can improve Scout.YT. They may set their own cookies and process limited usage data (such as pages viewed, device/browser and approximate location):
- Google Analytics 4 (Google) — product usage and traffic analytics.
- Google Ads (Google) — measuring conversions from our ads.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn) — measuring conversions and audiences from our LinkedIn campaigns.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — aggregated session analytics and heatmaps to improve usability.
These are governed by each provider's own privacy and cookie policies. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Payments
When you make a payment, our payment provider Stripemay set its own cookies on its checkout pages to process the transaction and prevent fraud, under Stripe's own policies.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of analytics/ads cookies there or via each provider's own tools (for example Google's Ads Settings and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on). Note that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging in and using the Service.
